Initiation Attestation BA4 - non-electrical work

This interactive training course is designed for employees who have not received formal electrical training but may nevertheless be exposed to electrical hazards during their work. Examples include employees performing non-electrical tasks in the vicinity of electrical installations, such as cleaning or care-related activities, as well as workers carrying out simple operations such as switching on a circuit breaker or replacing a light bulb. The course is relevant for employees across a wide range of sectors, including retail, cleaning services, administrative functions and the healthcare sector.

After completing the Initiation Attestation BA4 - non-electrical work, you will have sufficient knowledge to safely perform limited electrical tasks. You will learn how to reset protective devices, replace switchboard components, and safely install or replace de-energised electrical equipment such as light switches, power outlets, lighting fixtures, cables, insulation and temporary site distribution boards. In addition, you will receive a training certificate and a template for your BA4 authorisation certificate. Finally, you will be provided with practical guidance sheets, including “What to do in the event of a power outage?” and “How to safely replace a light bulb?”, enabling you to immediately apply the knowledge gained during the training.
